Product empties #1

If you know me then you know that I’m a product junkie. Whether it be hair products, skincare items or makeup, I own way too much of it all. Should I try to scale down my collection? Probably. But I am a sucker for trying out new products and anything with cute packaging, hence my vast collection. Over the course of the last few months I’ve been collecting the items that I’ve used up and today, I’m going to be reviewing them. So let’s check out the first product!

Pantene Root Reboot Dry Shampoo

I have never been an avid user of dry shampoo but I like to use it every now and then when I really don’t have the time to wash and dry my hair. This product is most definitely ‘zero-weight’ and provides ‘instant oil absorption’. This isn’t like those dry shampoos that leave visible, white residue. It dries invisibly and you can’t even tell you’ve used dry shampoo. It also smells great and it typically gave me an extra day or two before I really needed to wash my hair.

Would I currently repurchase this product? No. Would I repurchase if it was cruelty-free? Most definitely.

Garnier Fructis Sleek & Shine Leave-In Conditioning Cream

This was my holy grail product for probably about a year or two (which says a lot as I like to change up my products often). This leave-in was one of those products that I’d stock up on whenever I got the chance, buying multiple bottles at once. It’s that good! First of all, this product smells AMAZING. It’s smack in the middle. Not lightweight but not too heavy. It claims ‘intense smoothing for long-lasting frizz control & shine’. Boy is that accurate. This product works great on both wet and dry hair which is perfect for the days when you just don’t want to wet your hair.

Similarly to the dry shampoo, I would not repurchase solely because this product is tested on animals.

TRESemme Thermal Creations Heat Tamer Leave-In Spray

I made use of this spray back when I used to straighten my hair every day. My hair barely had any damage at all after about a year of continuous straightening and I owe it all to this product. It does its job remarkably well and it smells great which is always a plus. It’s super affordable and it lasted SO LONG.

Again, this product is tested on animals so I would not be repurchasing.

Simple Foaming Cleanser

On to skincare. I used this cleanser for a while. However, I felt like it didn’t do much for my skin. It didn’t leave my skin feeling refreshed, and although it doesn’t claim to do that, that is definitely something that I look for in a cleanser. I did love the foam feature and the fact that it was gentle on my skin. However, I wouldn’t repurchase.

Maybelline Fit Me Foundation & Maybelline Fit Me Shine-Free + Balance Foundation (stick)

I absolutely love the Maybelline Fit Me line. My only complaint is that the liquid foundation is a bit heavy on the skin. It’s medium to full coverage so that’s understandable. However, I personally prefer lightweight foundations. That’s why I found the stick foundation from the line better suited for me. It’s a lightweight alternative to the liquid foundation but still provides quite a bit of coverage. Sadly, I have not purchased this stick foundation since going Vegan as Maybelline does test on animals.

That about wraps up this product empties post. Stay tuned for more in the near future.

Until next time,
