ABOUT ALL BOOK’D UP
The desire to fuse a love for local crafters’ markets and all things book related is what sparked an idea. An idea that would create an ideal job where “waking up wasn’t a chore and work didn’t feel like ‘work’ “. With the aspiration of creating a product that would be a reflection of who she is, Christabelle, the founder of All Book’d Up began the lengthy planning process.
She scoured the internet for the perfect local creatives to feature in her book gift box. And let me just say, she couldn’t have selected a more cohesive bunch. Despite setbacks along the way, the launch date is finally here. Orders for this bi-monthly box can be made via Instagram.
THE BOX
This is the part you’ve all been waiting for.
What’s in the box?
Firstly, let’s talk about the exterior. The lovely presentation of this box definitely caught my attention. And I was all the more pleased when I removed the cover to find a well packaged, visually appealing set of items. The love and effort put into the creation of this box was certainly visible.
THE CONTENTS OF THE BOX
The premiere box features 8 items, 6 of which were produced by local creatives. Let’s take a look, shall we?
TEA
The box contains 2 single serve teas from Tea Spott. If you know me then you know that I’m a huge fan of tea. I CAN’T WAIT to enjoy a cup of both the pumpkin spice and the sorrel pu’erh. Which brings me to the next item.
A GLASS MUG
I absolutely LOVE the look of a glass mug. It just makes the drink all the more better. This mug is the perfect size for that perfect cup of tea.
A MARBLE COASTER
While writing, I like to sip on a warm cup of tea so you can already see how perfect this box is for me. BUT it gets even better. The next item in the box is a gorgeous marble coaster from Very Verde which just so happens to go perfectly with my marble-print desk. The perfect item for holding that class mug.
DRINKING CHOCOLATE
So maybe you’re not a big tea-drinker and you prefer hot chocolate (or both if you’re like me). All Book’d Up has you covered with dark drinking chocolate shaped like an actual cocoa pod, from Mountain Pride Chocolates.
PINEAPPLE CHUTNEY
Continuing with the delicious theme, we have a jar of pineapple chutney from Sumptuously Orgasmic. I can’t wait to try this out!
HAND-CRAFTED BOOKMARKS
Each box also comes with three (3) hand-crafted bookmarks from the ever so talented Kris Loya. These bookmarks feature her beautiful watercolour designs.
A FEATURE BOOK
This specific box contains the book ‘The Yard’ by Aliyyah Eniath.
‘A moving story of love and redemption set in Trinidad, that exposes the fault lines in Indo-Muslim culture, as it explores three generations of a family who move from being indentured labourers to wealthy business owners’.
I’ve heard so many good things about this book and I’m excited to read it myself.
All of the items shown about come in this month’s premiere box for the price of $280 TTD. I’m so thrilled about the fact that these items have been created locally, and are Vegan.
