Hey there! It’s been a while since I’ve published a recipe on here. But today we change that. I present to you the Can’t Beet Blueberry Smoothie. That’s probably a lame name. But we’re going with it.
This recipe is quick and easy (a must for me) and of course, super delicious. So let’s get into it.
Serving(s): 1-2
Ingredients:
- 1 cup frozen blueberries
- 1/2 cup cubed beetroot
- 1 frozen banana
- 1 pear
- 1 cup almond milk
- 1/4 cup flax seed mix
- 2 tbsp chia seeds (optional)
- 2 tbs coconut flakes (optional. For garnish)
Method:
- Add blueberries, beetroot, banana, pear, milk, flax seed mix and chia seeds and blend blend blend.
- Garnish with blueberries, chia seeds and coconut flakes for that extra touch.
And that’s it! The end result is a yummy purple drink that I can’t seem to get enough of. I typically don’t like beetroot so I was hesitant to even include it as an ingredient in my smoothies.
HOWEVER, the other fruits mask the taste, leaving just a hint of beetroot. And it’s perfect. A great way to get those nutrients in.
I think it’s safe to say that Blueberries and beetroot are the perfect pear! Okay I’m done with the fruit puns. For now.

Stay tuned for more recipes.
