6 podcasts I can’t stop listening to

As of lately, I’ve found myself listening to podcasts almost religiously. Whether I’m in the car, cooking, or in bed, there’s likely a podcast playing in the background. My love for podcasts has grown so much so that I’ve even thought about recording one myself. I mean I love to talk (when the topic is right), I have a lot to say and I’ve been told I have a nice voice (that’s subjective of course). But that’s a project for the future. I’ll just stick to listening to them for now.

I feel as though I have a solid list of great, motivational and influential podcasters who I’ve come to love. So why not share them with you? I know that I always love discovering new podcasts. So here are my favourite 6, in no particular order.

The Influencer Podcast

Hosted by Julie Solomon, this podcast was made for the budding influencer. Julie offers her insight and expertise when it comes to being a social media boss babe. An influencer if you will.

Some of my favourite podcasts to listen to are those that motivate me and leave me wanting to work a bit harder towards the growth of my brand. And this podcast is just that.

Similar to The Influencer Podcast, I also listen to a podcast hosted by Jenna Kutcher.

The Goal Digger Podcast

The Goal Digger Podcast has become one of my all-time favourites. Jenna could be talking about a topic that I have absolutely no interest in and that doesn’t pertain to me and I will still find myself listening attentively from start to finish. There’s just something about the way she goes about the topic of conversation. And her voice is oh so calming. Does anyone else love to listen to podcasters who have a soft and calming voice? Or is that just me?

But back to Jenna. She’s taught me so much about Influencing, the creative industry, social media, the works. If any of these subjects pertain to you, I strongly suggest you check her podcast out.

Recess: Creative Convos

This podcast is hosted by Kamron Waithe and D’Andre Wilson, two vibrant and talented creatives from right here in Trinidad. They only recently launched their podcast however, they’ve quickly made their way to my top 6 and I find myself replaying their episodes over and over again. .

As two young, local creatives, they not only inspire and motivate me to work harder, but they also give me something to relate to. I could listen to them talk ALL day (no exaggeration) and I simply can’t wait for more episodes!

Pretty Basic

When Pretty Basic launched, I was over the moon. I’ve been viewing Remi and Alisha’s Youtube videos for as long as I could remember and I couldn’t wait for more content from them. And they didn’t disappoint.

From their work lives to their love lives, they cover it all. Listening to their episodes is like having a chat with two girlfriends. It’s always a good time and certainly far from basic.

Kalyn’s Coffee Talk

Similarly to Remi and Alisha, I love love love Kalyn’s Youtube content. And her podcast is no different. It’s the perfect way to start your week. She covers a so many topics and again, is one of those who I could sit and listen to no matter the topic of conversation. Her vibe and personality is just incredible and I would definitely recommend you check her content out.

A day in the life of Nelly B

Tshenelle aka Nelly B is another perfect example of local talent. This naturalista uses her platform to discuss an array of topics. And I just can’t get enough of her content. Her bubbly personality alone is enough to lure you in an put an instant smile on your face. She’s certainly one of those creatives who I’m inspired by and look up to.
